Please read the following in its’ entirety, before registering.
 
SEASON INFO:
The Fall season usually begins the weekend after Labor Day and ends mid-November.  

The Spring season begins early March and ends towards the end of May.  

Each season consists of 10 games.  Most games will be played on Saturdays, however, games can be

scheduled on Sunday afternoon and weeknights as well. 

Our HOME fields will be at the Waxahachie Sports Complex.  We have been working with ROISD for fields

at Eastridge, but unfortunately they won’t be ready in time for the Fall season.


A third party schedules games.  We have no control over dates and/or times of those schedules.

U4-U6 will play all games at our HOME fields in Waxahachie. 

U8-U16 will play as part of the Best Southwest Playing Association.  They will play 5 HOME games

and 5 games in surrounding cities.

U10 and older players are required to have an ID to participate in games.  Your coach will coordinate

getting pictures for their team uploaded to GotSoccer, so player IDs can be printed.

Coaches determine when and where their team(s) will practice.  Teams typically practice once or twice a week for about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours for older teams.  Players are responsible for bringing water and a soccer ball to practice.  Players MUST wear shin guards during all games and practices!  This is a requirement of our insurance company.

U4-U6 registration includes a season award.  Best Southwest will give trophies/medals based on divisional standings for U8 & up age groups. 

PLAYERS NEED:

Shin guards, soccer cleats (no toe cleat), soccer ball

U4-U8:  size 3 ball
U9-U12:  size 4 ball
U13-U14:  size 5 soccer ball

PLAYER REGISTRATION FEES:
U4–U6:   $70
U7–U12:  $85
U13-U19: $90

Please note, registration fees have gone up for player fees, however, if you register your player online, there is a $10 discount per player.

*Late registration fee is $10.
 
** A per/player field usage fee to the City of Waxahachie is included in the above fees.

We offer a $5 sibling discount.  You MUST use your family account to receive the discount.  Discount is applied on 2nd and 3rd player registrations.

Player fee does not include uniform.  Team uniforms will be ordered by your coach and parents will be responsible to pay for their child’s uniform.

REGISTRATION:
If you are registering a new player, you must provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate to the registrar via email at registrar@redoaksoccer.com. 

Players will not be placed on a team until his/her birthdate has been verified.

If your child is a returning player wanting to return to the same team, please make sure you are registered before the draft.  Once we start the draft, spots will be filled as needed.

Online registration: 
You may register anytime by following the link on the Home Page of our website.  Payment methods accepted:  Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  

​$10 Discount on pricing if you register online.

Please note:  A $10 late fee will be added if registering after the draft date.
 
Walk-in registration: 
Dates posted on Home Page.
Payment methods accepted:  cash, check or credit card online.
*  All checks returned to ROSA as uncollected will be charged an additional $25 per check and will be required to pay the full amount in cash.
 
Late registration will begin immediately after draft is complete and will be subject to a $10 late fee.

* Late registration is only available for the age groups with open roster spots.

Coaches will receive their team assignments at the coach’s meeting (date will be posted on our Home Page).   You should hear from them after that. 


AGE VERIFICATION:
Changes were made to the way we determine age brackets for all players.  This change is for all Best Southwest teams and players, and was initiated by US Soccer.

Players will no longer be placed by school year, rather they will be grouped by calendar year, Jan 1st - December 31st. Below is an age chart which reflects the changes.

Please refer to this age chart when registering your player. Players are still allowed to "play up" or play in an older group as parents, coaches and the board determine it is in the best interest of the individual child.

 



 

 






















THE DRAFT/FORMING TEAMS:
At the end of regular registration, players are separated into teams based on their age. 
 
New players are placed into a draft player pool for team placement.
 
Returning players spots are held up until the draft.  Once the draft is started, their spot will be filled if needed.
 
We will take team requests for players to play with a friend, coach or  team, however, we cannot guarantee those requests will be granted.  Placement is based on availability.  If a player would like to make a team request, that request should be written at the top of their form (if registering in person) or in the team request box (if registering online).
 
Returning players that have skipped a season and wish to return to their original team can do so only if space is available.  These players must register on time and make a request.
 
COACHES:
Red Oak Soccer Association provides the opportunity for kids to play soccer, but volunteer coaches are needed to organize these activities. Coaching clinics are offered by North Texas Soccer through surrounding associations.  These clinics will help you teach the game to the kids.  If you are interested in coaching please click on the Coach Registration link on the Coaches and Volunteers tab, and complete the box under New Users.  After you register you will receive an email from GotSoccer with information.  You will need to log into your coaches profile and complete the background check.  No experience necessary.    

REFUND POLICY:
When a player will not play after having paid the seasonal registration fee, the following guidelines will be used in determining the appropriate refund amounts:


- Any request for a a refund must be made in writing.
- No refund will exceed the actual amount paid.
- Late fees are non-refundable.
- No refunds for “academy only” players.
- Refunds will be issued, minus any funds owed to the coach (uniforms, etc) and/or ROSA, 7-14 days after the request is made in accordance to the chart below:



 










*If an open spot is not available on a team for a player, the Registrar, in consultation with the appropriate Youth Commissioner and Treasurer, is authorized to refund any registration fees paid.  

*First game of the season is defined as the first game for the league, not the team the player is assigned to first game.

RESPECT THE REFEREES:
Most of our referees are young children and our local youth; please treat them as you would want others to treat your children. The adult referees are there for your player as well. Do not expect to have a perfect game called. Do not approach them on the field for any clarification of any rules. If you have a concern/ issue that needs to be addressed, please email the Referee Liason.
 
Please respect and support our referees.  Without them, soccer games cannot be played.
 
WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY BAD BEHAVIOR TOWARD OUR REFEREES, LEAGUE OFFICIALS, COACHES OR PLAYERS.
 
ALL REPORTS OF ABUSE CAN RESULT IN SUSPENSION.
